What An Incredible Fluke XX!

In the two decades since the European Cup morphed into the Champions League, every single winner has been a member of the allegedly defunct G14 group of teams (there are actually eighteen teams in this inner group).

The trophy has been shared around 12 of these teams but more startling still are the semi finalists.

In the last decade and excluding Chelsea, who are a power base due to Roman's legions, only three out of 40 semi final teams have NOT come from the G14(18) cartel.

Additionally, of the 20 G14(18) winners of the competition, 16 of the winners are from the top tier of the G14(18) ie the most institutionally powerful clubs.

Of course, the G14(18) was supposedly dispanded years ago in favour of the UEFA Strategy Group and then the ECA.

But when does power ever voluntarily relinquish control?

But a cartel controlling the Champions League...

What a weird fluke!
