An Array Of Dichotomous Hyperrealities #

So, who shall we point the finger of scorn at today?

As we all know, it is the appearance of things that matters.

We have elections to prove that we live in a democratic state.
As Thomas Ferguson's investment theory of politics reminds us, elections are spectacles in which groups of investors coalesce and invest to control the state.

Elections are simply marketing processes.

Take the illusory bubble of ObamaWorld.
Obama gained power through two powerful constituencies - Wall Street and the Internet Army.
We will cast a beady eye briefly over each of these power bases.

Although the final figures have not been released yet (why not?), campaign donations to the ObamaWorld entity were heavily sourced from the former investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds and private equity entities.
It consequently came as a minimal surprise when Obama's economic team was stuffed with free market Chicago School ideologue types.

People like Larry Summers who supported the non-regulation of derivatives in the nineties, as he trusted that the free market would correct any maverick psychopathy in the sector.
He was wrong.
Better make him President of the National Economic Council then...

People like Tim Geithner who worked behind the curve implementing the initial responses to the Depression alongside Bernanke/Paulson, who is now Secretary of the Treasury, which should remove some of the fear underpinning everything about America.

And, related to this, the gaming of the Depression by ##############################

So, Wall Street are still in control.

The Internet Army are a particularly undemocratic manifestation although, in ObamaWorld, this linkage between future president and the masses was marketed as 'Real Democracy'.
It wasn't anything of the sort.
It was a standard military command structure - orders coming from above.

As Noam Chomsky has pointed out, a true Real Democracy would have been the Internet Army telling Obama what policies he must implement in order for them to help him get elected.
Bottom-Up Democracy.

War Criminal Sets Up Faith Foundation

Multiple War Criminal Tony Blair, currently hiding in a zionist bunker on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, has established a Faith Foundation.

This is positively post-Orwellian in the degree of duplicitous dichotomy.
The Poodle, The Joker, the Mass Murderer...

Just send the bastard to Den Haag and be done with it!
This is a farewell kiss, you dog!

There are numerous countries that the likes of Blair, Hoon, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld dare not travel due to the territories' global jurisdiction legal system.

Remember when the Spanish judiciary were after Thatcher's favourite war criminal, Pinochet?
Well, that was the prompt for New Labour mafia-don Jack Straw to allow the nasty little man to return to Chile.

We see a strategy here to ensnare Blair...
Let him become President of Greater Europa, or whatever fake nonsense he is currently seeking.
He will travel to Brussels for his investiture only to be nicked by the Belgian gendarme for crimes against humanity.
Sorted.

Scotland Yard - to investigate claims of torture against British citizens in Third World Torture Centres, with representatives of British Military Intelligence in attendance during the illegal processes.
Excellent.
Justice being seen to be done.

The police investigating the military police...!

And, if there is just too much evidence to secrete it away from prying eyes, the guilty must only be charged under Health and Safety legislation, that catch-all category that covers everything from electric shock torture, waterboarding, the putting of seven bullets into an innocent man's head and the correct placement of fire extinguishers at the necessary locations within a place of work.
Tut tut!
A fifty quid fine, mate, and don't do it again.

Post-Orwellian Sub-Democracy.

All people of a rational disposition would accept that the bookmakers have ruined football in England - the Premier League is merely a glorified and handicapped horserace.

The Champions League is different.

A shit hanging from a stick this most definitely was not.

My favourite part of the game was the post-match interview with Loose Guus.
Asked about what he had 'said' to the players during the half-time interval, Guus threw his concerns about tax issues from his mind and began: "To be honest, and why not?".

Why not, indeed...

Obama keeps telling us that he is able to see the seeds of recovery.
Summers prefers to see shares as "the sale of the century".
Bernanke sees a slowdown in the decline.
Jim O'Neill at Goldman Sachs thinks that there is much positive news beginning to break.
Obama is now hinting at hopes of recovery.

Meanwhile, in the Real World...

I wish that dead cat would stop bouncing outside my office window...

"While misery strews your streets with corpses, and fills your prisons with thieves and murderers, where are the swindlers of the fashionable world?... The most corrupting examples, and the most revolting cynicism, the most shameless robbery... Are you not afraid that the poor man put in the dock for snatching a piece of bread from the baker's stall will not, one day, become so enraged that, stone by stone, he will demolish the Stock Exchange, a wild den where the treasure of the state and the fortunes of families are stolen with impunity?" - Larouche populaire, from Michel Foucault 'Discipline And Punish'.
