Who Really Owns Manchester City? #

************FOOTBALL IS FIXED IS DAILY FOR OCTOBER************

The Spectacular Hyperreality of the buying out of Thaksin Shinawatra and the takeover of Manchester City, the purchase of Robinho and the farcical predictions of future dominance through wealth, has tended to block out any serious analysis of who is now really in control at Eastlands.

Who is pulling the strings?
What is their likely strategy?
Why was the original official story of the new ownership altered?
Where was Richard Scudamore while all this was going on?
Who is likely to emerge as competition in hyperownership?
How long will Abu Dhabi United have their edge?
How will the complicated family ties affect the club and, more pertinently, the game?
Is City's future now linked to a global price set by a privileged cartel?
Why is Thaksin Shinawatra allowed to own 25% of what is currently the most liquid team on the planet?
Do performances post-takeover (the heavily rigged 6-0 win over Portsmouth apart) suggest internal harmony?
And, why has nobody set up a FC City of Manchester?

Unfortunately, the remainder of this post and all posts labelled # are available in full to subscribers only.
