His Excellency, the Doctor was a highwayman, a crook, a human rights abuser and a murderer in the ancient kingdom of Siam. The money that he robbed from the poor of his country was secreted away on private islands of illicit liquidity. When some other highwaymen chased his Excellency from his castle, he decided to buy a sports team in the universal centre that is Manchester. He would use his ill-begotten gains to buy favour with the population in the ancient kingdom so that, one day, he might return as the top highwayman again. His Excellency, the Doctor, contracts a Big Name to manage his team and gives this man lots of money and gold coins in an attempt to buy success. The Big Name is becoming a face on the Manchester social circuit and is already renowned for giving £100 tips to migrant East European service staff at all his social adventures in the city.
In this manner does capital flow work in an allegedly legitimate capitalist system. The poor of a lower second world country are robbed and murdered by a psychopath who launders his money and then uses his booty to establish a new power base abroad after his empire comes tumbling down. The financial tips and minor generosities of his newly employed hierarchy help to sustain the impoverished mobile populations of the former Eastern Europe. Robbing from the 3rd World poor in the 2nd World to give to the 2nd World poor in the 1st World.
