Year Of The Dragon

Manchester City v Burnley

The great thing about a Moss-dominated PGMOL is that every Manchester City game sees a suitable officiating template (just in case the Mancunians can be stopped).

So we have a Liverpool supporting Jones on VAR tonight.

City so outplayed Spurs in the FA Cup (18 shots to one away from home) that it is difficult to see how they might be derailed without outright blatant corruptions.
Or an arbitrary points deduction and / or demotion.

There is going to be carnage before the arbitrary rules that clubs are being punished under currently change in August to an entirely new set of arbitrary rules.
This self-regulation lark is an utter devastation of the sport and a total dereliction from duty for those profiting out of this demise.

City allowed Trafford to leave as they knew his weaknesses.
They still do know his weaknessses.
And, if they bring in Muric, they know his weaknesses too.

Tottenham v Brentford

Trappy event with Salisbury on VAR, Coote as referee and Benham in his trading suite.
Sweet.

As mentioned, the boys-in-the-studio have rediscovered the career bonus represented by a spot of insider trading and TNT / BT Sport are back to full effect on rogue events.

The evoking of boys-in-the-studio infantilises the spectacle - it would, of course, be far more apt to refer to the rogue tax evader and matchfixer who escaped justice via a dog caper or the sort of man who spits in the face of a teenage girl or the guy who systemically corrupts all sport with which he comes into contact.

Boys in the fucking studio...
... mafia minions manipulating media for their masters.

Liverpool v Chelsea

Liverpool will obviously be focusing on the visit to Arsenal on Sunday.

Just like the reality of Ten Hag's position under Ratcliffe is being hidden by the press, so are the real reasons behind Klopp and Van Dijk wanting to move on from Liverpool.

Meanwhile Wasserman are touting Arteta to Barcelona and Arteta is outraged which either shows that Arteta should change his agent or that Arteta should stop lying to Arsenal fans.
One or the other.

Some interesting insider money on the Anfield game.
