At our meeting on Monday, a colleague said to me "They will slaughter you if they ever get the chance" - "they" being the mafia behind corruption in UK football.

Given the evidence now in our possession we must assume that this was intended as an extreme (and potentially fatal) intimidation - my car had neither air bags nor side impact bar protection and according to my mechanic I was 0.1 seconds from death i.e. my speed of reaction in instant braking saved my life.
